They were made by P and W Nash of Hoo and replicate the original cast iron versions made by the likes of Lawford Ironworks for Mistley barges. By replicating them we eliminate the possibility of teeth loss from original 100 year old castings.
Nash’s have made a name for themselves by previously producing similar winches for SBs Adieu and Cambria. The opportunity was taken to galvanise anything not formed of stainless steel and the result is handsome, effective and low-maintenance.
Executive Officer Richard Titchener said, “It has been an absolute pleasure working with P and W Nash and with Simon Beaney in particular. The result is fantastic and exactly what we hoped for.”
